The new child care package has been introduced to simplify payments and help make child care more affordable, flexible and accessible for families.
A family’s Child Care Subsidy will be based on their combined annual family income and applied per child regardless of how many children there are.
If the combined annual family income exceeds $351,248, a family may not be eligible to receive the Child Care Subsidy.
The new subsidy will be paid directly to child care centres each fortnight according to the attendance records of each child. Families must then pay the difference between the subsidy and the fee charged.
No, the new child care package does not include registered care.
No, the current immunisation requirements will still apply.
